OYNA strongly condemns the reported terrorist attack and abduction of schoolchildren in Oyo State. We stand in solidarity with the affected children, their families, educators, and the wider community during this deeply distressing time.
Schools must remain places of learning, safety, and hope. OYNA calls on relevant authorities to act with urgency, coordinate responsibly, and provide clear support to families while every effort is made to secure the victims’ safe return.
We also urge sustained investment in prevention, community intelligence, and the protection of vulnerable institutions. The safety of children is a shared public responsibility that demands seriousness, compassion, and accountability.
